Pastor Brian Anderson has been the pastor at Eastland since November 2004. He is the director of Great Commission Ministries. In the late 1990's he began to do missionary outreaches to Mexico. For the past 12 years, Pastor Brian has worked with church planter and pastor Omar Corona in the city of Monterrey. Pastor Brian has done missionary work in India, the Philippines, Mexico and much of Tennessee. Eastland Baptist Church is a partner of Great Commission Ministries. Pastor Brian is a musician with a heart for worship and has a desire to help churches expand their music ministries. He lives in Metropolis with Robin, his wife of 30 years. Brian and Robin have three children, Ryan and his wife Laurel, Jason and his wife Lindsay, and Carissa and her husband Blake. They also have four grandchildren Toby, Charlee, Chloe, and Piper.

Ryan Anderson

Ryan Anderson is the Youth Pastor at Eastland Baptist Church. He is married to a wonderful woman, Laurel. They have been doing ministry together since they got married three years ago. The Church has seen significant growth in the youth ministry over the past few years. Both Ryan and Laurel have a strong desire to impact the youth of America with the truth of the Gospel. Every Wednesday Evening at 6:45 they have a youth ministry known as "The House". Ryan also participates with the Worship Team on Sundays and Wednesdays. Ryan & Laurel have 1 daughter, Piper.

Joanne Wong-Hammonds

Joanne Wong-Hammonds is the Administrative Assistant for Eastand Baptist Church. Originally from New York, Joanne and her family moved to Metropolis in 2006. She lives with Scott, her husband of 12 years, her son Anthony and daughter Madison. Joanne speaks fluent Spanish and is involved with our local Hispanic Mission as well as a Partner of Great Commission Ministries. She travels to Monterrey, Mexico yearly with a mission team to help with the annual VBS.

John Larrison

John Larrison is the Teaching Pastor for Eastand Baptist Church. John is married to Beth and has been doing ministry together for over 25 years. He and Beth have 3 daughters, Tia Ralls, Hannah, and Ruth Larrison. John and his family were missionaries in Peru for four years. John holds a Masters of Arts degree in Christian Counseling and is also a counselor for LIFE Coaching and Counseling Ministry held at Eastland. We are excited to have John and his family as part of our team.

Dan Haun

Dan Haun is the leader of our Pastoral Care ministry. Dan and his wife Lynda, regularly visit the hospitals and nursing homes in our community. He is also the leader of our Prime Timers ministry which is for those aged 50+. Dan has a passion for serving the Lord and we as a church are blessed to have he and his family serve with us.
